Kraków offers accommodation to suit every budget. Here are some recommendations for a place to stay at the cheaper end of the market.
Miodosytnia Aparthotel
As a general rule of thumb, the further away from Kraków’s Old Town, the cheaper the accommodation. That said, you can find some excellent places just to the north, in the Kleparz and Wesoła areas, close to the central train station, and around Piasek and Nowy Świat, to the west. Kazimierz can also be a great choice.
Rates vary according to the season. Prices are highest in the summer (late June to the end of September) and around Easter and Christmas, when budget accommodation should cost less than 337PLN (€74 | US$86 | £63) per night for a twin or double room (i.e., not per person) with private bathroom but no breakfast. However, you can get some real bargains if you are less fussy where you stay and book early enough. Costs drop to less than 220PLN (€48 | US$56 | £41) per night at other times of the year. Exchange rates are as of October 2021.
