There are some stunning places to stay in Kraków if you’re willing to pay a little bit more. With these mid-range hotels, it’s possible to get a little bit of glamour, often right in the heart of the city.
Miodosytnia Aparthotel
You’ll get a lot of choice in Kraków, if your budget stretches to the mid-range bracket. From the fabulous ancient meets modern of Hotel Wentzl, right in the centre of old Kraków, to the slick health hotel of Niebieski Art Hotel and Spa, on the banks of the Vistula river, there’s a touch of luxury at a reasonable price.
Rates vary according to the season. Prices are highest in the summer (late June to the end of September) and around Easter and Christmas, when mid-range accommodation should cost less than 430PLN (€94 | US$109 | £80) per night for a twin or double room (i.e., not per person) with private bathroom but no breakfast. However, you can get some real bargains if you are less fussy where you stay and book early enough. Costs drop to less than 323PLN (€70 | US$82 | £60) per night at other times of the year. Exchange rates are as of October 2021.
