These apartments are genuinely spacious, taking full advantage of the building’s soaring ceilings and tall windows. In addition, the sleeping arrangements are comfortable, featuring large double beds with plush velvet headboards that add a sense of grandeur. However, the mattresses lean towards the softer side, which might not suit everybody.
The bathrooms are clean and suitably luxurious, with marble and gilt. And some rooms have a deep tub, though we have some reports of fluctuating water pressure – thanks to the Old Town’s vintage plumbing systems.
The bathroom continues the property’s luxurious aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling marble tiling, vintage-style gold hardware, and decorative tile accents on the bathtub.
Kitchenettes are well-integrated, hiding behind sleek cabinetry, though they are equipped for light breakfasts rather than serious cooking. The living areas are the highlight, offering comfortable sofas and plenty of room to decompress after a day of sightseeing.
The on-site dining area offers an atmospheric setting for meals, highlighted by unique design elements like peacock-patterned columns and soft, warm lighting.
Noise can be an issue. While the windows are double-glazed, the location on the corner of Świętej Anny means the hum of the square can be loud, particularly after dark. Light sleepers could book a courtyard-facing unit, though this misses the main draw of a square-side apartment.
Plush fabrics, regal décor, and the excellent location put the Czeczotka Palace Apartments up there with the best of Kraków’s self-catering accommodation. It is a spectacular place to stay, provided you are happy to trade total silence for an unbeatable view.
