Roughly 1km to the east of Kraków’s main train station, the Radisson RED is a mixed-use hotel with ultra-modern apartments catering for up to four people. The bold design has an arty feel with original photography in each room and a comfortable minimalism.

Scoring highly across the board, the Radisson RED mixed-use accommodation is a bold and brassy new addition to the Kraków scene. With a range of small apartments and more traditional hotel rooms, it perhaps loses a point for the location. (Check availability and pricing on Booking.com or Agoda.com).
While apartment-style accommodation is increasing in Kraków, the Radisson RED offers the best of both worlds. The property mixes standard double rooms with suites and family apartments that can house up to four people. As the name suggests, there is a bright and bold attitude to the décor. The lobby is glitzy and the clean minimalism of the guest rooms is cut through with original photography and bursts of colour. Apartments include a kitchenette with a dishwasher and some rooms include a rather fetching balcony.

There are better locations, to be honest, but it’s a comfortable hotel with sturdy mattresses, good soundproofing, and a heated bathroom floor. There’s a solid breakfast and the on-site Filini Restaurant focuses on Italian cuisine. Families should certainly find some suitable choices here. Facilities include a well-stocked gym and sauna, a business centre, bar, and games room.

To the east of Kraków’s main train station, 4-star Radisson RED Hotel & Radisson RED Apartments offers a good cross section of different accommodation. The rooms and studios are smart and scrupulously clean. My only caveat is the location.

Eastern Kraków: We designate Eastern Kraków as the extended area to the right of the centre including districts such as Osiedle and Grzegórzki (though we treat Nowa Huta separately). The area includes Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Cracow and the ibis Styles Kraków Centrum, as well as the Tauron Arena Kraków and the Stanisław Lem Garden of Experiences.
