Despite the full name of this accommodation – Art Boutique Aparthotel – I wouldn’t personally classify it as either a boutique property or an aparthotel. There are no self-catering facilities, for one, so it leans more towards a hotel than apartment. Nor are there the features you might normally expect from a boutique experience, such as dining or wellness options. It is, however, stylish, comfortable, and moreover peaceful place to stay on the Old Town end of Krupnicza. Newly regenerated, this street if full of places to eat in the heart of leafy Piasek.
Art Boutique bathroom
As the name suggests, the Art Hotel is themed with dramatic, wall-sized portraits in a kind of Polish Impressionist style. These are set off by the stylish monotone furnishings that have subtle patterning and gold details. Expect lots of clean lines and thoughtful lighting, while the bathrooms dial up the expression a little. The rooms are optimised for comfort, with soundproofing and a bed that guarantee a great night’s sleep. Private parking is also available.

Located in a lovely part of Kraków, with lots of dining options, the Art Boutique is an understated residence with the emphasis on comfort and cleanliness. Studios can hold up to four people, just don’t expect to self-cater.

Piasek District: Just to the west of Kraków’s Old Town, residential Piasek makes a nice retreat from the main tourist areas. The area includes the main branch of the National Museum, with a permanent collection of 20th-century Polish art, and a huge expanse of urban parkland. Krupnicza has a great range of restaurants and bakeries and the upper end of Karmelicka is good for shopping. You’ll also find Forum Designu, a retro space full of the best contemporary Polish designers, and there are plenty of cosy places to stay, such as the Nobilton and Amber Boutique.
